With early voting beginning October 6, AVC News is giving Guernsey County voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates and representatives on the issues appearing on the November ballot.

The one-hour program will be presented live on WILE-FM and streamed live online, with the video available on demand following the broadcast. A replay on WILE-FM will also be scheduled for a later date.
🎙️ What You’ll Hear
The program will include informational interviews concerning four Guernsey County levies, followed by a debate featuring the candidates for Guernsey County Commissioner.
ℹ️ Levy Discussions — Informational Interviews
Representatives will discuss the following ballot issues:
📌 Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center, Inc. Meals on Wheels Program Renewal Levy
0.75 mill for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in 2028.
📌 Guernsey County Sheriff’s Department 911 System Renewal Levy
1 mill for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in 2028.
📌 Guernsey County Children Services Additional Levy
1.25 mills for 10 years, commencing in 2026, first due in 2027.
📌 Guernsey County District Public Library Renewal Levy
1 mill for 5 years, commencing in 2027, first due in 2028.
The levy portions of the program are informational interviews, designed to give voters an opportunity to hear information about each issue before casting their ballots.

The program will also feature the candidates for the January 1, 2027 term for Guernsey County Commissioner:
Tom Hannon (Democratic)
Dave Wilson (Republican)
💬 The commissioner candidates will debate during the program, with Bill Cassler serving as moderator.
