BARNESVILLE, Ohio (AVC News) — The Barnesville Water Department has issued a precautionary boil advisory following emergency waterline repairs.
The advisory applies to all service connections on South Broadway, from West South Street to Leatherwood Pike, as well as any other customers who experienced a loss of water pressure Thursday.
Residents in the affected area should boil water vigorously for at least one minute before using it for human consumption, including brushing teeth.
The advisory took effect Thursday afternoon and will remain in place for 48 hours after water service is restored.
Residents may also notice water discoloration and should use caution when doing laundry.
The Barnesville Water Department apologized for any inconvenience caused by the waterline repairs.
