Shelia A. Pickinpaugh, 74 of Duncan Falls

Shelia A. Pickinpaugh, 74 of Duncan Falls, passed away peacefully at Genesis Hospice on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

She was born on September 6, 1952, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Arthur W. and Betty E. (Swope) Burkett. Shelia worked at Genesis Hospital for twenty-six years as a medical transporter before retiring. She was a loving mother that worked hard to make sure her children were looked after. Shelia had a big heart for animals, especially cats. She enjoyed eating out and trying new restaurants, watching paranormal shows, and loving on her cats. Shelia had the greatest time with her family like, watching her nephew, Mark’s band play at shows, attending flea markets and yard sales with her sister, Sandy, and traveling to Marietta where her and Lori would stay at the Lafayette Hotel.

Shelia is survived by her two children, Lori (Dan) Nealey and Jason Pickinpaugh; grandchildren, Kyle (Jen), Kayla, Heidi, and Jaden; great-grandchildren, Chesney, Maverick, and Olivia; siblings, Sharon (Ronnie) McKinney, Sandy (Craig) Donnelly, Steve (Patty) Burkett, Becky (Keith) White, Peggy Hyre, and Robin (Bob) Roback; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Shelia is preceded in death by the father of her children, Charles Pickinpaugh; as well as her brother, Tom Burkett.

A celebration of Shelia’s life will be held at 4 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Anchor Lodge #283 F. & A.M. at 238 Mound Road in Duncan Falls, Ohio, 43734. The family asks for everyone to bring a covered dish.
