COLUMBUS, Ohio (AVC News) – The Office of Criminal Justice Services (OCJS) has announced grant funding is available to help local law enforcement invest in body camera equipment.
$5 million in funding is available through the Ohio Body-Worn Camera Grant Program. The program, established by Governor DeWine in 2021, assists local law enforcement with costs related to camera equipment, video storage, editing software, and more.
To date, nearly $24 million has been awarded to over 400 local agencies as part of the program.
Agencies interested in learning more about the grant program are invited to attend a webinar on September 15. The training webinar is not mandatory but is meant to provide helpful information on application preparation and the review process.
Grant proposals must be submitted by 5 p.m. on October 7, 2026.
