WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio (AVC News) — A West Lafayette man has been sentenced to three years of community control sanctions after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of drugs in Coshocton County Common Pleas Court.
Dustin M. Daugherty, 42, was sentenced Aug. 25 after previously pleading guilty to one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.
As part of his community control sanctions, Daugherty was ordered to comply with special conditions and complete any drug or alcohol evaluation recommended by his supervising officer.
The court said a violation of community control could result in a prison sentence of up to 12 months on the drug charge. The court also reserved the possibility that the prison term could be served consecutively with a sentence for a new offense if community control is revoked.
Daugherty was ordered to pay a $20 monthly supervision fee and court costs. Fines were waived because of his indigency.
He was released following the hearing.
