Ms. Alice Eileen St. Clair, 83 of Byesville

Alice Eileen (Hooper) St. Clair, 83, of Byesville, passed away Friday (August 28, 2026) at OhioHealth Southeastern Med, Cambridge.

She was born March 8, 1943 in Mechanicsburg, daughter of the late Howard Clinton Hooper and Hilda (Dillon) Hooper.

She attended Woodsfield High School. Alice was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and enjoyed collecting angels. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion, Harry “Bub” St. Clair; a son, Anthony Duncan; a brother and six sisters; and her granddaughter, Aubry.

Alice is survived by two daughters: Cynthia Tortolano of Beavercreek and Diana Crose of Battle Creek MI; a son, Howard Duncan of Byesville; a sister, Connie Eddy; her grandchildren: Vanessa, Christopher, Stephanie, Amanda, Robbie, Katlin, and Alaina; her great-grandchildren: Ava, Alicia, Terrell, Reese, and Isabella; a great-great-granddaughter, Olivia; several nieces and nephews; special friends that meant the world to her, including Shirley Tilton, and many other friends who were more like family to her.
