Virginia A. Martindale, 84 of Zanesville

Virginia A. Martindale, 84, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 1, 2026, at Willow Haven Nursing Home in Zanesville.
She was born on February 26, 1942, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Harley Lutgen and Margaret (Sims) Lutgen. Virginia was a member of the Apostolic Chrisitan Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing; but most of all, she loved spending time and playing ball with her grandsons.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Holley Tilton; grandsons, Brandon Roberts and Pierce Tilton; 2 nieces: Linda Bellisario and Gloria Rivera; and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Kenneth Martindale; brothers, Arthur Lutgen and Russell Lutgen; sisters, Beulah McCoy and Thelma Morozowsky.
The family would like to sincerely thank Hospice of Central Ohio for the wonderful care given to Virginia.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday September 8, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 12:00 PM with Pastor Nathan McDonald officiating. Burial will conclude services at Wesley Union Cemetery, where Virginia will be laid to rest with her husband, Ken.
