ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (AVC News) — The chief executive officer of Fox Run Center in St. Clairsville has been arrested in Lorain County on charges involving alleged sexual contact and communications with a minor.
Randall Mackendrick, CEO of Fox Run Center, was arrested by the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office. According to the sheriff’s office, Mackendrick faces charges of unlawful sexual contact with a minor, importuning, disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile and possessing criminal tools.
The charges listed by the sheriff’s office include importuning as a misdemeanor, along with the other offenses. Specific details regarding the allegations, including when and where the alleged conduct occurred, were not immediately available.
Fox Run Center, located in St. Clairsville near Interstate 70, is a residential treatment facility serving children and adolescents. The facility has operated for more than 35 years and provides individual, group and family therapy, along with educational services through an accredited school.
According to Fox Run, the facility serves boys and girls ages 5 to 12 and girls ages 12 to 17. Its staff includes psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, mental health technicians, activities therapists and special education teachers.
The investigation remains ongoing. Additional information about the case was not immediately available.
Mackendrick is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
