BARNESVILLE, Ohio (AVC News) — The Barnesville Public Works Department will begin collecting leaves left curbside by Village of Barnesville residents on Oct. 19.
Leaves must be placed in paper biodegradable, compostable bags. Plastic trash bags will not be accepted.
Bags must contain leaves only and will be collected as time allows. No specific collection schedule will be followed.
Leaf collection will continue through Dec. 11.
The village also reminds residents that there is no longer a leaf drop-off location at the Depot. Dumping leaves at the former drop-off site is prohibited and may result in a dumping violation.
