Mary E. Pakes, 69 of Caldwell, Ohio

Mary E. Pakes, age 69, of Caldwell, Ohio, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026, at her home. She was born November 13, 1956, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Roy D. and Lois M. “Fannie” Clark Gildow. Mary attended Caldwell High School and over the years worked for Ogle’s Restaurant, Summit Acres Nursing Home, and as a babysitter. She also worked for and was a member of the Caldwell Moose Lodge #221 for over 20 years. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and supporting them in all of their sporting events and traveling to watch her son, Aaron, and his band Little Creek. Mary was devoted to her family.

Surviving are her children, Andy S. (Carol) Pakes and Daniel E. (Sharon) Pakes, all of Caldwell, and Aaron M. (Lori) Pakes of Sarahsville; six grandchildren, Drew Pakes, Tara Pakes, Shelby Pakes, Damon Pakes, Tyler Pakes, and Jase Pakes; two sisters, Jean Fogle and Sue Saling, both of Caldwell; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her long-time companion, David Hanson of Caldwell.
