ZANESVILLE, Ohio (AVC News) — A Zanesville man was killed Sunday afternoon after being struck by a falling tree during a storm.
The Zanesville Police Department responded around 2:12 p.m. to Ridge Avenue near West Main Street for a report of a tree down. Police said the tree fell because of high winds.
Witnesses reported that 20-year-old Kieler Roush of Zanesville had been struck by the tree. Officers found Roush underneath debris.
Zanesville Fire Department and Community Ambulance crews also responded. Roush was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
