BYESVILLE, Ohio (AVC News) — Rolling Hills Local Schools will celebrate the completion of its new unified K-12 campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 9.
The event is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. at the district’s new Meadowbrook campus at 58615 Marietta Road in Byesville. The event is free and open to the public.
The new Meadowbrook Middle and High School marks the completion of a three-phase, $62.6 million construction project that consolidated the district’s five existing buildings into one centralized campus.
The district says the project was completed at no cost to local taxpayers through funding from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, a local tax agreement with Guernsey Power Station and additional grants.
Construction was completed in three phases. The Student Health and Athletic Center opened in spring 2025 and now hosts athletic and community events. Meadowbrook Elementary School then brought the district’s kindergarten through fifth-grade students together in one facility.
The final phase, the newly renovated Meadowbrook Middle and High School wing, was completed this spring.
The unified campus now brings all Rolling Hills students together at one location and includes updated classrooms, a gymnasium, renovated auditorium and dedicated spaces for athletics, the arts and career-technical programs.
The Sept. 9 celebration will include remarks from district leaders, a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the new campus.
