CAMBRIDGE, Ohio (AVC News) — In a release from the Cambridge Post of The Ohio State Highway Patrol, there are plans for the patrol to conduct an OVI checkpoint this week as part of an effort to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
The Patrol has not yet announced the county where the checkpoint will be held. That information is expected to be released the day before the checkpoint.
The location of the checkpoint will be announced the morning of the operation.
The checkpoint will receive operational support from local law enforcement agencies.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is encouraging anyone who plans to consume alcohol to designate a driver or make other transportation arrangements before drinking.
