Morgan County JFS Offers Financial Assistance To Residents Affected By Recent Flooding

McCONNELLSVILLE, Ohio (AVC News) — Morgan County Job and Family Services is offering financial assistance to residents affected by recent flooding.

According to information released by Morgan County JFS, eligible households may receive assistance of up to $1,500 per dwelling for families.

Adults age 55 and older may qualify for up to $750 per dwelling, while households that are childless and include a person with a disability may also qualify for up to $750.

Applicants must meet income guidelines of less than 200% of the federal poverty level and must provide proof that they were affected by the disaster.

Morgan County JFS is accepting applications by email at morgansupport@jfs.ohio.gov.

Residents can also contact the agency at 740-962-4616 or visit the Morgan County JFS office at 155 E. Main St., Room 009, McConnelsville.

The assistance comes as Morgan County and surrounding communities continue to recover from recent flooding.
