SOUTHEAST OHIO (AVC News) — The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced several road closures and traffic restrictions scheduled for next week in eastern Ohio.
In Coshocton County, State Route 643 will close during daytime hours Tuesday, Aug. 4, between Township Road 189 and County Road 190 for culvert replacement.
In Fairfield County, State Route 312 will be closed Monday, Aug. 3, and Tuesday, Aug. 4, between Rutter Hill Road and Fairview Road while crews replace a culvert.
In Guernsey County, the Interstate 70 westbound off-ramp to U.S. Route 40 near Old Washington is scheduled to close Monday, Aug. 3, as part of an ongoing pavement repair project. The ramp is expected to reopen Monday, Aug. 17. The project also includes resurfacing I-70 and replacing concrete pavement at the State Route 285 ramp approaches.
In Muskingum County, motorists should expect several temporary I-70 ramp and lane closures on Monday, Aug. 3, for pavement repairs. The westbound and eastbound off-ramps at Sonora Road/Airport Road will close during the morning and are expected to reopen later that afternoon.
Also on Monday, I-70 westbound near mile marker 152 will be reduced to one lane, and the eastbound off-ramp to U.S. Route 40 will close. Both restrictions are scheduled to be lifted later that day.
ODOT urges drivers to slow down in work zones, watch for crews and equipment, and plan for possible delays.
