WOODSFIELD, Ohio (AVC News) — A juvenile was killed and three other juveniles were injured Wednesday evening in a single-vehicle crash on Township Road 350, also known as Wolf Pen Road, in Monroe County.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a vehicle driven by Britney N. Timberman, 39, of Woodsfield, was traveling south on Township Road 350 when she lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, then off the right side, struck an embankment and overturned.
One juvenile occupant was ejected and later pronounced deceased at the scene. Three other juveniles sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at the scene and at local hospitals.
The Highway Patrol said alcohol and drug impairment is suspected as a contributing factor in the crash.
Antioch EMS, Woodsfield Fire and EMS, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the Monroe County Coroner’s Office and Stephens Towing assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
