BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (AVC News) — A man wanted by police in Pennsylvania was arrested after a vehicle pursuit that began in Marshall County and ended in Belmont County, Ohio.
Marshall County Sheriff Mike Dougherty said deputies were alerted around 1:55 p.m. to a purple Dodge Charger with Texas license plates. Monroeville police in Pennsylvania identified the driver as 36-year-old Delta Martel McPipe, who was wanted on felony charges of strong-arm robbery and violent domestic battery.
Marshall County deputies located the vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the driver continued north on West Virginia Route 2, through Wheeling and into Ohio. The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed on the ramp from Interstate 470 to Ohio State Route 7 in Belmont County.
McPipe was taken into custody and faces the charges reported by Monroeville police. He also faces multiple traffic-related charges in West Virginia and Ohio stemming from the pursuit.
