CAMBRIDGE, Ohio (AVC News) — Both lanes of Interstate 77 South have reopened following a crash Saturday morning involving a semi-truck carrying a load of sugar.

The crash occurred beyond the Interstate 70 East/Wheeling interchange and initially blocked both southbound lanes of I-77. As of 11:08 a.m., the left lane had reopened while the right lane remained closed, causing slow traffic and prompting motorists to consider alternate routes.

The driver suffered minor injuries.

ODOT crews later cleared the scene, and as of approximately 3 p.m., both lanes were reopened to traffic.

The circumstances of the crash have not been officially confirmed.
