HealthSource of Ohio, Integrated Services for Behavioral Health Explore Potential Merger

LANCASTER, Ohio (AVC News) — HealthSource of Ohio and Integrated Services for Behavioral Health have signed a non-binding term sheet to begin exploring a potential merger between the two organizations.

According to Local 12 News, the agreement is the first step in a process that could create an organization valued at more than $220 million and employ approximately 1,500 people.

The organizations say the potential merger would focus on expanding access to health care services in Southern and Central Ohio.

Under the proposed agreement, HealthSource would acquire ISBH’s behavioral health services and its affiliate, Fairfield Community Health Center, based in Lancaster.

The organizations have not finalized the merger, and the term sheet is non-binding.

Further details about the potential transaction were not immediately available.
