ZANESVILLE, Ohio (AVC News) — The Zanesville-Muskingum County Board of Health has appointed Kylie Jones, BA, MPH, as the next Health Commissioner for the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department.
Jones has spent the past four years as Deputy Health Commissioner for the Cambridge-Guernsey County Health Department and previously worked for 11 years with the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department.
She holds a Master of Public Health degree from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Muskingum University.
Jones will serve alongside current Health Commissioner Corey Hamilton until Hamilton’s retirement, which is effective Dec. 1.
Hamilton has spent 22 years with the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department. She said she is looking forward to retirement, including traveling with her husband and spending more time with her family.
Jones said she is honored to have the opportunity to lead the department and plans to work with staff, stakeholders and community partners to continue promoting health and wellness throughout Zanesville and Muskingum County.
