CAMBRIDGE, Ohio (AVC News) — The 56th Salt Fork Festival featured a variety of juried artists displaying their work throughout the weekend.
The festival’s Best of Show Award was presented to Jim Zhang of Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Zhang’s work combines modern impressionism with Asian techniques, using acrylics and suiboku to depict nature and explore themes of balance, movement and emotion.
The People’s Choice Award was presented to Nicole Tellish of Pennsylvania, a new artist at the festival, for her fused and stained glass artwork. The award allows festival visitors to select their favorite piece from the artists’ displays. Each participating artist is permitted to enter one piece for public voting. Susan Eikenberry Benham coordinates the display and oversees the voting.
Festival organizers thanked the sponsors who provide support for artist awards each year, as well as the artists, volunteers and visitors who helped make the 56th Salt Fork Festival a success. The weekend also featured a variety of activities throughout the festival grounds.
