CALDWELL, Ohio (AVC News) — A paving project in the Village of Sarahsville is nearing completion following a $353,030 investment supported by an Ohio Department of Transportation Transportation Improvement District grant.
The Noble County Commissioners recently learned that paving work is taking place along Mill Street between state routes 147 and 285.
Parnell and Associates of Cambridge is serving as the general contractor for the project.
Noble County Engineer Todd Coss secured the funding through the ODOT TID grant program.
Also during the meeting, Batesville Mayor Linda Watson reminded commissioners that the Batesville and Beaver Township Community Picnic will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m. The event is part of the America 250 celebration.
Chicken will be provided, while attendees are asked to bring a covered dish and their own drinks. The Route 40 Band will provide musical entertainment.
Commissioners also heard a request from Jim Kinnen regarding clarification of language in the county’s subdivision regulations.
The discussion included Kirby Moore and Morgan Rayner of the Noble County Health Department, Ava Fisher of the Noble County Map Room and Eliza Carpenter, subdivision regulations coordinator for the Noble County Engineer’s Office.
