NOBLE COUNTY, Ohio (AVC News) — The Noble County Commissioners recently met with Congressman Troy Balderson and state Rep. Ty Moore to discuss the county’s priorities for 2027.
The informal meeting was held at Lori’s Restaurant in Caldwell. Balderson is expected to represent Noble County in Congress beginning Jan. 1.
One of the main topics discussed was securing federal funding for waterline expansion and the construction of water towers throughout Noble County.
“We are actively cultivating a positive relationship with Congressman Troy Balderson because he has expressed a high regard for Noble County and a willingness to help us grow,” Commissioner Brian Carter said.
Carter said the county is optimistic about working with Balderson and Moore on future projects.
Judy Robinson of the Noble County Historical Society also informed commissioners about an Open Doors event planned for Sept. 12 at Thoreau-McKee Park as part of the county’s America 250 activities.
Noble Township Trustee Greg Bond discussed an outlet pipe issue in Belle Valley. Noble County EMA Director Erica Rossiter said she plans to include that issue and other flood damage in the area in a request for state funding.
Noble County Extension representative Dawn Gutberlet reported that concrete is being poured for a playground next to the Happy Time Pool at the Noble County Fairgrounds.
