ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (AVC News) — Ohio Hills Health Centers has been recognized by the Health Resources and Services Administration as a National Quality Leader for both Diabetes Health and Heart Health.
The recognition is part of HRSA’s 2026 quality improvement awards, which honor community health centers that demonstrate strong quality improvement and primary health care services.
Ohio Hills Health Centers also received a Bronze Badge for overall quality.
“Ohio Hills Health Centers is honored to be recognized by HRSA again this year,” said Jeff Britton, CEO of OHHC. “These awards reflect the dedication of our providers and of our entire staff.”
HRSA said community health centers play an important role in addressing chronic diseases and improving health outcomes, particularly for people who are low-income, uninsured or face other barriers to health care.
HRSA-funded health centers served more than 32.7 million patients nationwide in 2025, the highest number in the program’s 60-year history.
OHHC operates seven health centers in six Upper Ohio Valley communities, including Barnesville, Bellaire, Freeport, Quaker City, St. Clairsville and Woodsfield.
The organization provides primary, preventive, dental and behavioral health services, as well as assistance with Medicaid, Medicare and Marketplace applications.
OHHC is also nationally accredited as a Patient-Centered Medical Home through the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
