CALDWELL, Ohio (AVC News) — A Noble County Grand Jury met Wednesday, Sept. 9, returning 27 counts against 17 individuals, according to information released by the Noble County Prosecutor’s Office.
Prosecutor Jordan Croucher presented 13 cases to the grand jury.
The first two cases involved registered sex offenders.
Rodney Church, 32, of Cumberland, was charged with failure to provide a change of address, a fourth-degree felony.
Jordan Dennis, 23, of Caldwell, was charged with failure to register, a fourth-degree felony.
Claude Douglas, 48, of Caldwell, was charged with burglary, a second-degree felony; aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor; and domestic violence, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.
Bethany Harley, 28, of Lewisville, was charged with tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony; telecommunications fraud, a fourth-degree felony; identity fraud, a fourth-degree felony; theft, a fifth-degree felony; misuse of credit cards, a fifth-degree felony; and possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony.
Charles Sexton, 64, of Caldwell, was charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony.
Danny Stack, 71, of Caldwell, was charged with cruelty to animals, a fifth-degree felony, and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor.
The grand jury also returned 11 secret indictments containing 13 counts.
The secret indictment charges include breaking and entering, menacing by stalking, escaping, illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility, and complicity in the commission of an offense.
A grand jury indictment represents an accusation, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
