CAMBRIDGE, Ohio (AVC News) — A missing Cambridge woman has been found deceased, according to the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office.
Katrina Day, 35, had been reported missing by the Cambridge Police Department. She was last believed to have been in the Buffalo area and was also believed to have recently frequented the Lore City area.
The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office said Day was located deceased Tuesday, Aug. 18, by members of the sheriff’s office.
In a joint statement, the sheriff’s office and Cambridge Police Department thanked members of the community who assisted with the search, including those who shared information and social media posts or provided assistance to law enforcement.
The agencies expressed their condolences to Day’s family, friends and loved ones and asked the public to respect the family’s privacy as they grieve.
The circumstances surrounding Day’s death have not been released.
The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office said the case remains under investigation.
