CAMBRIDGE, Ohio (AVC News) — Dickens Victorian Village returns to historic downtown Cambridge on Nov. 1, bringing nearly 100 Victorian scenes, holiday events and seasonal attractions to the community through Jan. 1, 2027.
The annual tradition, now in its 21st season, transforms Wheeling Avenue into a festive display inspired by the stories of Charles Dickens and the customs of Victorian England.
Visitors can begin at the Dickens Welcome Center to learn about the village’s history, view original scene drawings and browse keepsakes. The nearby Imagination Station offers Victorian clothing for visitors to wear while posing for photos with Charles Dickens.
New this year, the Dickens Victorian Village Character Trail allows visitors to scan QR codes at individual scenes and watch short videos about the characters, their stories and Victorian-era traditions.
Several special events are planned throughout the season. The Queen’s Tea is scheduled for Nov. 14, followed by Victorian Teas on Dec. 12 and 19. Horse-drawn carriage rides will be offered Saturdays in November and Fridays and Saturdays in December.
Trolley tours are scheduled for Nov. 21 and Dec. 12 and 19, giving visitors an opportunity to learn more about Cambridge’s history.
The Guernsey County Courthouse Holiday Light Show will provide another seasonal attraction, featuring 85,000 lights synchronized with festive music.
Dickens Victorian Village is presented as a community holiday tradition and a way to draw visitors to downtown Cambridge during the Christmas season.
