MONROE COUNTY, Ohio (AVC News) — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents and business owners about counterfeit currency recently reported circulating in the county.
Authorities are encouraging people to carefully inspect cash received during transactions and exercise extra caution when accepting larger bills.
Anyone who believes they have received counterfeit money or has information about its circulation is asked to contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office at 740-472-1612, extension 2.
