NEWARK, Ohio (AVC News) — Two people were arrested and nine juveniles were removed from a residence following a child endangerment investigation in Etna Township, according to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives executed a search warrant Oct. 13 at a residence in the 13000 block of National Road SW after receiving a referral from Licking County Child Protective Services regarding allegations of child abuse and neglect.

Investigators determined that 12 people, ranging in age from 1 to 64, lived at the property. Nine were juveniles.

The sheriff’s office said detectives encountered unsafe living conditions that raised concerns about the health and safety of the children. All nine juveniles were removed from the residence and placed in the custody of Child Protective Services.

Jonathan Parr, 37, and Jacqueline Coleman, 32, were arrested on charges of child endangerment and taken to the Licking County Justice Center.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed. The case will be reviewed by the Licking County Prosecutor’s Office.
