NEW CONCORD, Ohio (AVC News) — The Village of New Concord is seeking public input as it develops an Active Transportation Plan focused on walking and biking throughout the community.
The village has hired Verdantas, an environmental science, engineering and consulting firm, to assist with the plan. Residents are encouraged to complete a 12-question survey, with organizers seeking at least 150 responses.

An active transportation plan serves as a roadmap for bicycle and pedestrian improvements and is intended to improve safety for all roadway users. The plan will identify opportunities to strengthen connections between neighborhoods, schools, parks, downtown, Muskingum University and other community destinations.
Information gathered through the survey will help identify community priorities and guide future transportation investments in New Concord.
