Michael E. Oiler, 65 of Zanesville

Michael Eugene Oiler, 65, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday September 2, 2026, at his home.
He was born on June 30, 1961, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Harold Oiler and Judy Oiler. Mike worked at the Animal Shelter for many years. He was an avid Michigan Wolverines Fan and was always known to be a big jokester.
Mike is survived by his 3 daughters: Tiffani (Roy Newsom) Parish, Jessica (Adam Pyle) Newsom, and Michelle (Garrett) Thornton; son, Charlie (Darcie) Oiler; brothers, Rick (Johna) Oiler and Jim (Holly) Oiler; grandchildren, Brayden (Mackenzie), Skyler, Stormi, Marley, Marcus, Olivia, Grant, Jaxson, Kayden; several nieces, nephews, cousins; several friends that became family at the Sheridan House; and special dog, Ruger.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Terry Oiler; and sister, Glenna Oiler.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday September 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home following services.
