
Margaret “Peggy” Shook, 91 of Newcomerstown
Margaret “Peggy” Shook, 91, of Newcomerstown, passed away on October 5, 2026 at Union Hospital. Peggy was born July 26, 1935, in Marietta, Ohio to the late Harry and Glenna (Hinton) Kehl.
Peggy was a member of the Christ Methodist Church and volunteered for Christ Kids, Journey’s End, and Main Street Museum. She was a girl scout leader for 35 years. She was a home childcare provider for many years. She loved painting ceramic figurines.
She is survived by her children, Karen (Robert) White, Cathy (Robert) Shinn, Kim (Greg) Warren, Robert Shook, Kay (David) Howard; her grandchildren, Rebecca Dhakal, Margaret Mills, Joy Brown, Martin White, Joseph White, Jonathan White, Adam Shinn, Justin Shinn, Benjamin Shinn, Kaylie Shinn, Hilary Lemmons, Dylan Shinn, Allyssa Waskewicz, Jordan Shook, Tyler Shook, Dakota Green, Jaelyn Shook, Jason Geese, Madelyn Howard; her great-grandchildren, Marty Baker, Laura Mills, John Mills, Emma Dhakal, Daniel White, Zachary White, Ella Dhakal, Nathan White, Rylynn White, Joshua White, Karen Brown, Jacob White, Noah White, Silas Brown, Caleb Mills, Alexander Shotwell, Artemis Shinn, Connor Lemmons, Carrick Moore; Nikola Shinn, Reagan Lemmons, Gavin Lemmons, Declan Lemmons, Mila Waskewicz, Jacksen Waskewicz, Isabella Shook; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Along with her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband Dale G. Shook, who passed away on April 7, 2003; and her siblings Nina Rotruck, L. Ronald Kehl, C. Donald Kehl, Grace Dulaney.

Services and Burial
A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Bracken Foster officiating. Peggy will be laid to rest beside her husband Dale in West Lawn Cemetery.
