Georgia Albert, 85 of Cambridge

Georgia J. Albert, 85, of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Cardinal Place.

She was born June 2, 1941, in Wellston, daughter of the late Harold Cahoon and Freda (Rawlins) Cahoon.

Mrs. Albert retired from the Joint Training Partnership JTPA Program. She also retired from the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Southeast Ohio/Masonic Learning Center of Cambridge. Georgia enjoyed doing genealogy, cooking, reading, was an avid cat lover, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Albert attended Christ Our Light Parish.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Albert, who died March 15, 2012, and whom she married on May 27, 1961; and her sister, Diane Grim.

She is survived by two sons, John (Samantha) Albert II of New Concord and Harold Albert of Cambridge; two daughters, Julie (Ronnie) Sposato of North Port, FL and Jennifer (Matt) Delik of Cambridge; a brother, Thomas (Rebecca) Cahoon of Cambridge; one sister, Billie Otunga of Elgin IL; two grandchildren, Whittney (Nathanial) Nichols of Cambridge and Samantha Delik of Cambridge; and six great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 5PM-8PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge with the funeral service the following day, Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11AM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery, Westland Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Georgias name to St. Benedict School, 220 N. 7th Street, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
