George W. Durben, 76 of Newcomerstown

George W. Durben, 76 of Newcomerstown, passed away on November 2, 2026 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
George was born March 13, 1950, in North Salem, Ohio to the late Cliffard Raymond Durben and Bertha Irene (Bennet) Durben. George attended Cambridge High School, and went on to honorably serve in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. He loved going to the beach. He also enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. He attended North Salem Community Church.
He is survived by his siblings Cliffard R. Durben, Mark (Carla) Durben, Kathy (Mark) Addy, Robert “Butch” (Sarah) Pollock, and Betty (John) Stubbins; his special friend in Florida Bub, and his friend Serena; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Along with his parents, George was preceded in death by his loving wife Anita (Kyser) who passed away in 2019; and his siblings Mildred Durben, Sarah Durben, and Mary (George) Dorsey.
Per his wishes, a cremation will take place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. He will be laid to rest with his wife Anita at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette.
