Dave Wolfer, 71 of Roseville

Dave Wolfer, 71, died on September 13th at his home in Roseville, Ohio. He was born on September 10th, 1955 to Elmer and Janice Wolfer.
His one desire as a young man was to join the military. He signed up for the Army while he was in high school and left for boot camp on Father’s Day June 1973. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran. Dave truly loved military life and the comradery with fellow soldiers was something he spoke highly of. A friendship between brothers that were always there for you. His tour in Germany were fond memorys of traveling, visiting castles and volksmarches. He enjoyed the beautiful country and wonderful people.
After 13 years in the Army his passion became wood working. Dave was a Master Scroll Saw Artist and he created amazing fretwork art that was incredibly intricate and beautiful. His RBI scroll saw was his favorite tool of all times. Dave would never use another brand or give one away. He had a successful business creating porch and shelf brackets for people.
In 1991 Dave met Annie and then married in 1996. They moved to Roseville, Ohio and Dave was a wood worker and Annie worked in retail. He also was a sales representative for RBI, his favorite scroll saw company and traveled the United States. Annie traveled with him for three years. What a fun and adventurous time they had traveling. They met amazing people and developed lasting friendships throughout the years. This was the time for Live, Love and Laugh. Cookouts, bonfires and roasting marshmallows with friends and family, Singing Happy Birthday at restaurants and wearing big hats every time we got together, and just being with friends that felt like family.
Dave will always be remembered as friendly and talkative and he was loved by many. May there be an RBI scroll saw and wood working tools waiting for him in heaven.
A cremation care has been entrusted to BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, AT OUR LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED CREMATORY.
