Cheryl Ann Schneider, 79 of Dresden

Cheryl Ann Schneider, 79, of Dresden, died at 7:10 A.M. on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 23, 1947, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Jack Edward and Betty Jean (Joseph) Hoover.
She found great joy in the simple things in life. She loved listening to music, especially the songs of the ‘60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s, and enjoyed spending time looking through photographs and reminiscing about cherished memories. She loved cooking for her family and took great pride in preparing meals that brought everyone together.
One of her favorite places was her back porch, which she affectionately called “Wicker World,” where she enjoyed sitting, relaxing and taking in the world around her. She also loved to dance and shop and always knew how to enjoy life’s special moments.
Above all, she was a loving and faithful supporter of her husband, Fredrick, standing devotedly by his side throughout their life together. She created a warm and welcoming home for her family, raising them on a farm with a way of life reminiscent of a bygone era—something much like “Little House on the Prairie.” It was a home filled with family, home-cooked meals, cherished traditions and a sense of togetherness that will remain a treasured part of her family’s memories.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie (Brian Rich) Hittle and Darla (Bruce Adams) Schneider; a son, Joshua (Jessica) Schneider; fourteen grandchildren, Fredrick Schneider III, Mitch Adams, Tony Adams, Klare Hittle, Wolfgang Hittle, Angie Bohn, Stone Schneider, Magnus Schneider, Seth Schneider, Kayla Williamson, Atticus Termini, Benjamin Schneider and Elliott “Cakes” Schneider; fifteen great-grandchildren, Ryan, Alexis, Ruger, Harmonie, Hayden, Riley, Lily, Annabelle, Hunter, Chevy, Sydney, Remington, Copen, Castiel and Sylva Jo; and a brother, Larry (Sue) Hoover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick M. Schneider, Sr.; a son, Fredrick M. Schneider, Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Schneider; a granddaughter, Shayla Schneider; a grandson, Jimmy Bohn; a great-grandson, Colt Hittle.
Cremation care has been entrusted to BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, AT OUR LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED CREMATORY.
