Carole Wilson, 80 of Newcomerstown

Carole Sue Wilson, 80, of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Newcomerstown.

Carole was born on January 5, 1946, in Parkersburg, WV, to the late Charles and Ann (Merill) Meyers.

Carole was a lifelong member of the Newcomerstown Church of Christ. She loved spending time outdoors and was involved in 4-H for many years. Carole was a Morgan horse enthusiast and helped operate her family’s hobby farm, which included a rabbitry, dairy goats, chickens, and beef cattle, and provided rehabilitation for various wildlife. Carole and Warren showed, bred, and hunted English Coonhounds and were members of the Guernsey County Coonhunters Club. She also enjoyed painting, crafting, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

Carole married Warren Lee Wilson in 1967. They shared 49 wonderful years together before Warren passed away in 2016. She is survived by her three daughters: Sonya (Terry) Gaskill, Rachelle (Vincent) Thompson, and Teresa Wilson; her grandchildren: Josh (Cassie) Gaskill, Tyler (Kylie) Gaskill, Shane (Breanna) Gaskill, Zack (Brianna) Thompson, Cierra Thompson (Calvin Roman), Alycia Thompson, Isaiah Thompson, Samantha Whitaker, and Zek Morris; her great-grandchildren: Jackson, Jade, Saylor, and Vivian Gaskill; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Wilson; her stepson, Scott Wilson; her daughter-in-law, Julie Wilson; her stepdaughter, Connie Wilson; her son-in-law, Jim Whitaker; her grandchildren, Logan Wilson and Keith Moser; and her siblings, Dottie Johnson, Jane Lingo, Bob Beasley, and Barbara Hopkins.
