James R. Evans, 61 of Newcomerstown, passed away on October 20, 2026.
James was born September 2, 1965, in Germany to Gerald and Karin (Faber) Evans. He really enjoyed fishing, and working with his hands. He was good at building, and liked drawing.
He is survived by his children Jerry Evans and Crystal Evans-Jacks; three grandchildren; his father Gerald Evans; his siblings Mandy (Darrell) McMath, Tina (Tony) Buckey, and Nikol (Mark) Lafollette; his nephews Jake (Kasey Hawkins) Mathews, and Rodger Sweeney (Kaylyan Halbakken); and great-nephew River; and many other cousins, and friends.
James was preceded in death by his mother Karin F. Evans.

Per his wishes, a cremation will take place. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date. James will be laid to rest at West Lawn Cemetery.
