Mrs. Alice Marie Orr, 94 of Byesville

Alice Marie (Mallett) Orr, 94, of Byesville, passed away Tuesday (October 13, 2026) at Countryview Assisted Living Center, Lore City.

Over the years, many past employees returned and expressed the life lessons learned from Alice and Marvin’s watchful eyes.

Alice was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church until its closure and then became a member of Christ Our Light Parish. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club.

She enjoyed quilting, bird watching, and gaming at Wheeling. She loved animals and gardening. Alice always had a large garden and she took pride in tending to her roses.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin L. Orr, who passed away June 3, 2018. Also deceased is a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Kim Miles; and her siblings: Bud Mallett, Jake Mallett, and Pat Salas.
