Charles “Charlie” A Teetz Jr., 78 of Zanesville

Heaven received another angel today. Charles “Charlie” A Teetz Jr., 78 of Zanesville, went to be with the Lord, September 23, 2026.
He was born May 10, 1948, in Zanesville, son of the late, Charles A Teetz and Mary J (Thompson) Teetz. Charlie was a 1967 graduate of Maysville High School and was one of the first students at Mid-East Vocational School for his CDL. He was in the Army and served in Vietnam as a Corporal. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles 302 and a lifetime member of the VFW. He was a member of the American Legion. Charlie worked at the Maysville IGA Foodliner, Gould Battery, Schneider Trucking, and Wendy’s New Bakery. He retired from Riesbeck’s where he held various positions. He was Methodist by faith. Charlie was married to his wife, Donna, at the Northside Church of the Nazarene on April 1, 1971, giving them 55 years together.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Donna (Lighthizer) Teetz; daughter, Michelle (Teetz) Montgomery; granddaughters he loved spending time with, Caitlin Montgomery and Lillian Montgomery; nieces, Tina Pheaster and Pam Varner; brother-In-Law, David (Kathy) Lighthizer. Her also had a loving companion cat, Zippy, and his late dog, Oddie.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Charles A Teetz, Sr. and mother Mary J Teetz as well as a sister, Mary Belle McConnell.
Graveside services will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery at date to be announced.
