Rebecca A. Shaw, 79 of Cumberland, Ohio

Rebecca A. Shaw, age 79, of Cumberland, Ohio, died Sunday, August 16, 2026, at The Enclave of Cambridge. She was born November 13, 1946, in Zanesville, daughter of the late Vernon and Gladys Daily Dudley. Rebecca was a 1964 graduate of Shenandoah High School and a beloved homemaker. She loved to plant flowers, and she enjoyed cooking and celebrating holidays. She also loved spending time and talking to her dear friends, Carolyn and Jeannette.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James E. “Jimmy” Shaw, whom she married July 4, 1992, and who died October 14, 2021.

Surviving are her children, Valerie A. (Marty) Wallace of Lebanon and Shawn T. Hamilton, of Cumberland; a step-daughter, Aimee Jo (Rick) Rosia of Canton; three grandchildren, Kyle D. (Summer) Foster of Trenton and Laykin M. (Austin) Schockling and Troy C. Hamilton, all of Cumberland; two step-grandchildren, Sevanah Rosia and Landon Rosia, both of Canton; two great-grandchildren, Sunny Foster and Dallas Schockling; and a sister, Georgiana (Alan) Cooper of Zanesville.

There will be no service at this time. Inurnment will take place at a later time at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery. The family would like to make a special thank you to Yvonne Carpenter for her help and care in their mom and grandma’s time of need.
