DESCRIPTION:Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum Youth Tours \n  \nThis 45-minute interpretive tour of the Age of Steam Roundhouse is intended for our younger train fanatics and their families! The tour begins in the Depot Visitor Center at 1:00pm during select Friday and Saturday afternoons\, June 5 through November 21. SUMMARY:31st Annual Lore City Fire Department Car & Truck Show
DESCRIPTION:The Lore City Volunteer Fire Department will host its 31st Annual Car & Truck Show on Saturday\, September 26\, at Lore City Park\, located by the bike trail on Main Street in Lore City\, Ohio. \nRegistration runs from 10 AM to 1 PM\, with trophies presented at 4 PM. The entry fee is $15\, and the first 50 entries will receive a dash plaque. \nTrophies will be awarded to the Top 25\, along with special awards including Best of Show\, Chief’s Choice\, Mayor’s Choice\, Farthest Distance Driven\, Oldest Original Vehicle and Best Motorcycle. \nThis is a judged show\, with door prizes\, food\, a Chinese auction and music throughout the day. DESCRIPTION:Age Of Steam Roundhouse \nFall Steam Festival \nTrains\, Tractors & Traditions! \nSeptember 25-26\, 2026 \n  \n9:30 am – 4 pm \n  \nFree Admission!* \n  \nABOUT THE EVENT \n  \nThe Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum’s Fall Steam Festival: Trains\, Tractors & Traditions is an event to relive some of the most fondly remembered aspects of historic Americana: steam machines\, base ball\, and hot dogs. Guests can watch base ball played as it was in the old days\, in empty fields\, with little more equipment than what you and your friends could sling over your shoulders. We will have JD’s Hot Dogs here\, selling hot dogs and other fare to guests. \n  \nApart from base ball\, various steam tractor operators will be present to showcase their machines\, including a shingle mill and other belt-driven implements. All of this will be framed with the museum’s own steam locomotive\, which will give rides on the museum grounds to guests throughout the event. This special event will prove to be a fun and exciting experience for those who want to get a taste of the classic Norman Rockwell era of American leisure and life. \n  \nTrain Rides on the Museum’s Grounds (Cost is $6) \n  \n1.6″ Scale Steam Locomotive Rides ($2) \n  \n  \nVintage Self-Propelled Handcar Rides ($5) \n  \nVintage Base Ball Game (Saturday Only) \n  \nTinsmith From Historic Zoar Village \n  \nA Barbershop Quartet (Saturday Only) \n  \nRegular Tours of the Roundhouse (Tours Are an Additional Charge) \n  \nFood Vendor \n  \n  \nThe grounds showcasing the tractors\, implements\, and base ball games are free access during this event. Train rides are $6 per person for each ride\, and tours are regular tour prices.
