Willie Mae Warden, 91 of Kimbolton

Willie Mae Warden, age 91, of Kimbolton, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at Countryview Assisted Living Center. She was born April 29, 1926 to the late John Thomas McCraven and Bertha Elizabeth Mayhew McCraven in Red River, SC. Willie Mae attended the Revival Barn in North Salem. She had worked at the Cannon Mills in North Carolina and for the Shell Co in NC during WWII, then she went to work for SS Kresge Co in Cambridge, after that she was a Nurse's Aide and worked in the kitchen at Bell Nursing Home in Kimbolton for several years. She was a charter member of the Liberty Volunteer Fire Dept.
Willie Mae enjoyed listening to country and gospel music. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch, and going out to eat; but most of all, she cherished spending time with her friends and family.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters.
She is survived by: her husband, Gerald Warden whom she married February 16, 1991; one daughter Tamela (George) Helter of Kimbolton; one son Charles “Frankie” (Theresa) Hayer of Byesville; one sister Georgia Reba Hardesty of NC; five grandchildren, Amanda (Joe) Corpman of Port Washington, Christopher Foraker of Kimbolton, Chuckie Hayer, Scott Hayer and Connie Hayer all of Michigan; and a great granddaughter Kinleigh “Rosey” Corpman of Port Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm Monday, May 22, 2017 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will take place 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Slay officiating. Burial will follow in Kimbolton Cemetery.
