Miss Jennifer M. Boyd, 54 of Senecaville
Jennifer M. Boyd, 54, of Senecaville, passed away on Wednesday (May 17, 2017) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born June 10, 1962 in Albany NY, daughter of Robert Boyd and the late Gertrude (Laughlin) Boyd.
Jennifer was a graduate of Southern Illinois University and had a very enjoyable and successful career as a program manager in the financial, telecommunications, and insurance fields. Locally, she helped Advantage Bank bring electronic banking on line. Internationally, she provided telecommunication type training in several countries, which inspired her to develop a love for international, national, and local travel. A highlight of her career was her last when she accepted a position with Nationwide Insurance and she felt the joy, companionship, and support of her teammates starting the day she began work and continued until her passing as she battled cancer for the past two years.
She enjoyed photography, making and teaching how to make dollhouse type miniatures as a member of NAME (National Association of Miniature Enthusiast) at the national, regional, and local levels, and spending time with her family and two nephews and her former college roommate and best friend Kim Miller, a resident of Kentucky.
Surviving are her father, Robert Boyd; sister, Laurie Upton; brother-in-law, Michael Upton; nephews, Andrew Upton and William Upton; and a number of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Jennifer and her family appreciate and wish to publicly thank the employees of the Cambridge Health and Rehab Center for the friendly and dedicated services she was provided as she battled the unforgiving pain and health problems brought on by the spreading cancer during her last three months.
