Kathryn M. Reed, 88 of Norwich

Kathryn Mary Reed, 88, of Norwich, passed away Monday (April 17, 2017) at her home.

She was born February 2, 1929 in Byesville and was the daughter of the late Steve and Mary (Pavlik) Gall.

She was a 1946 graduate of Byesville High School. Previously employed at Ekco Housewares, the Post House and later owned and operated Kate’s Bus Stop Restaurant in Zanesville. Kathryn was an avid bowler having bowled in several leagues and was inducted into the Zanesville Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame. She was a member of the Eagles Aux.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Reed whom she married April 24, 1947 and passed away December 7, 1993; two infant sons; one brother and one sister.

She is survived by one son Loren (Sue) Reed of Mt. Vernon; one daughter Mary Regina (Danny) Myers of Danville, VA; five grandchildren, Clayton, Barrett, Brett, William and Christina; five great grandchildren, Kylie, Grace, Ashton, Bryce and Maddi; five step grandchildren; close friends and caregivers, Ralph and Maxine Grubb and her cat Baby.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville with Pastor Roger Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Muskingum County Animal Shelter.
