William A. "Bill" Milton, 66 of Quaker City
William A. “Bill” Milton, 66, of Quaker City passed away Saturday (March 18, 2017) at Selma Markowitz Care Center in Newark.
He was born February 28, 1951 in Cambridge and was the son of Mary Ann (Foraker) Milton of Byesville and the late Dale Milton.
Bill retired as operating engineer with IUOE#18 after 44 years of service. He was a 1969 graduate of Meadowbrook High School and a member of Main Ave. United Methodist Church; one word to describe Bill would be “Pipeliner”, he was a gentle, loving soul… he enjoyed watching westerns, being outdoors, camping and fishing.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his first wife Christine (Snyder) Milton who passed away March 6, 2002, and an infant brother Philip.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Cathy (Yakupcak) Van Sickle Milton of Newark whom he married April 14, 2013; two step-sons, Randy (Candace) Aragon of South Carolina and Joseph (Athyna) Van Sickle of Uhrichsville; one step-daughter Sarah (Todd) McGuire of Columbus; three grandchildren, Jamie (Nick) Gomez of VA, Alexander and Mercedes Van Sickle; three brothers, Dick Milton, Jeff (Shirley) Milton and Matt (Sarah) Milton all of Byesville; one sister Melissa (Tim) Huhn of Byesville; several nieces and nephews; dog Tucker and cat Jimmy Johnston.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3-6 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will follow at 6:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Main Ave. United Methodist Church Food Pantry or the Humane Society of Guernsey County.Calling Hours
