BYESVILLE-Ohio – The Coshocton Redskins rolled past the Meadowbrook Colts on Friday night, picking up a 49-21 win, to remain unbeaten.
Meadowbrook took the lead on the first possession of the game on a 44 yard touchdown pass from OB Konor Roberts to Easton Black. The Colts then made the 2 point conversion to take an 8-0 lead. The Redskins answered with a long scoring drive to cut the Colts’ lead to 8-7 . The Skins’ then scored another touchdown to go up 14-8 on a 52 yard pass from Andrew Mason to Dallas Griffith . Meadowbrook responded with a touchdown pass from Konor Roberts to Timmy Ferguson with 5 minutes to go in the half. The Colts missed the extra point and the game was tied at 14-14. Coshocton then scored on 1 yard touchdown run by Andrew Mason to take a 21-14 lead. The Colts then fumbled the ball away at their own 43 yard line. Coby Means capped a short touchdown drive, running the ball in from 6 yards out and Coshocton led 28-14 at the half.
Midway through the 3rd quarter the Redskins scored on a 48 yard touchdown run by Jake Fortney to make it 35-14. Fortney then went on to score another touchdown from 14 yards out. Redskins then led 42-14. Coby Means then scored from 1 yard out to finish the scoring for the Redskins . Meadowbrook then scored from 4 yards out on a Timmy Ferguson run and the final score ended up being 49-21.
With the victory, the Redskins improve to 7-0 on the season and the Colts fall to 2-5. Meadowbrook will face Claymont next week.
