COLUMBUS,Ohio–Ohio State football has named the seven players that will captain the Buckeyes for the 2016 season.

Shortly after their Fiesta Bowl victory, head coach Urban Meyer named junior quarterback J.T. Barrett, senior center Pat Elflein and junior linebacker Raekwon McMillan as team captains for this fall.

Four additional players have been chosen by team vote to join those three.

The new additions include fifth-year senior linebacker Joe Burger, fourth-year junior cornerback Gareon Conley, junior defensive end Tyquan Lewis and fourth-year junior offensive guard Billy Price.

The Buckeye start the season ranked at No. 5 in the preseason Coaches Poll, and number 6 in the AP Preseason Poll.

Ohio State opens their season this coming Saturday, September 3 at home against Bowling Green.
