Former Society of Friends Richland Meeting House State Historical Marker Dedicaton

A State Historical Marker Dedication Ceremony for the former Society of Friends Richland Meeting House will take place on Sunday, May 28, at 2 pm at the Richland burial ground, Shannon Run Road, just north of SR 265 between Quaker City and Barnesville. The marker will commemorate the settlement, development, and history of the Society of Friends in eastern Ohio. Sponsor of the marker is the Stillwater Monthly Meeting of Friends (Barnesville) with support of Ernest Hartley and Susan Fredericks.

Memorial Day Parade in Cambridge

The Robert T. Secrest VFW Memorial Post 2901 will host their annual "Memorial Day Parade" on Monday at 10 am.  Lineup will begin at 9 am near the Municipal Court Building on Highland Ave. and will proceed down Wheeling Ave. to the Guernsey County Courthouse along East 8th St.  They are expecting approx. 300 participants.  East 8th Street will be closed from 8 am to noon.  Contact Burdette Parry of the VFW at 740-439-9180 for more info.
